macOS 14 Sonoma available late September 2023

Apple has announced the release of macOS 14 Sonoma for September 26, 2023.

Like every year, this version brings a host of new features. It is compatible with iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro from 2018 or later, Mac Pro from 2019 and Mac Studio from 2022.

We've tested beta versions of Sonoma to check Office Maker compatibility, and haven't encountered any operating problems. However, as a precaution, we recommend waiting a while before upgrading your Macs to Sonoma. In general, the first major release of macOS contains a few dysfunctions which are corrected in the following months with minor updates. In addition, some software installed on your Mac may not be compatible.

Its predecessor, macOS 13 Ventura, on the other hand, has reached maturity with its successive updates, and we can only recommend that you install it if you're using an older version of macOS and your Mac model allows it.
