Advocating for digital sovereignty

The magazine Bilan recently published an article by Antonio Gambardella, which is a real plea for digital sovereignty.

His conclusion: the European continent is currently too dependent on technologies from America or Asia, which puts it at risk.

The solution: invest heavily in local solutions in order to foster an ecosystem of close-by companies and thus gain independence.

In this context, it is worth mentioning that Office Maker is developed in Switzerland with a tool of French origin and that Micro Consulting collaborates with the Swiss hosting provider Infomaniak for its cloud servers, which are located exclusively in our country. With our solution, if you do not place your data on a foreign cloud server managed by a web giant, you are guaranteed that your data will not cross our borders.

Another point: a word processor is integrated into Office Maker Business and Staff and a spreadsheet is included in Business and Finance. Your documents are stored in Switzerland and both the word processor and the spreadsheet can access data from the management of your company in order to generate personalised reports and dashboards that are automatically updated. These two tools, along with the kSuite from Infomaniak, are a good alternative to software suites such as Office365 or Google Docs.
